Izzy and Christine already know how to ride, but they had a great time hanging with us and even got some tips out of me for their own riding. Kelsey had ridden a little before, and picked up her turns on the green runs! It was Leah's first time trying snowboarding, and she really picked it up! Leah has great balance. She was able to stand up and slide on her heel-side edge on the first try! The toeside turn is harder for everyone, and it was no different for Leah - understandable - the toe turn is a harder one to get used to! But by the end, Leah was making both turn down the runs (with just a little help from me on the toeside)!
We started with a little gliding and pushing, to learn how to ride the chairlift, but then we went straight to the very top of the mountain! Beaver Creek is a great sk area for beginners, because there are some great easy green runs at the very top. We were able to see the great views and still stay on the easy terrain.
We were having so much fun, we kept riding through lunch and didn't eat at Spruce Saddle until 1:30! But we did get another run after lunch, and then Kelsey, Leah and I took the Centenial chair down to the bottom. Downloading to get to the bottom is great, because we could avoid the harder runs, and the views are awesome when you're downloading, because you're facing the views!
All in all, a great day...I think I had as much fun as the girls! I'm planning to post more pictures later, in the next few days.

Gregg,
Thank you so much for the photos! We're definitely jealous sitting here in Santa Barbara. Looks like the girls are having a great time - and many thanks to you for your lesson!
