AASI Cert 2 Clinics Angel Fire, NM

DSC02795.JPGWe had a great three-day event at Angel Fire, New Mexico. A cool little ski area, Agel Fire has a halfpipe and two terrain parks. With a total of eight participants, the event was super-fun. Thanks Marc, Garrett, Tea, Alyssa, Dustin, Grant, Frank, and David for a great clinic. Read on for more...

Big Powder Day at Vail

DSC02768.JPG Friday February 16, 2007 I got to ride Vail with more than two feet of snow on the ground, with some great people. My buddy and skateboard programs partner Angus Morrison came over Vail Pass with me to ride. We just made it over the pass before they closed it for the day. Lucky us! Then, we walked up right behind Charlie Clarke (AASI-RM Examiner) and Matt Joswick (Josey), a Full Cert Instructor at Vail, in the gondola line at 8:30 in the morning. Instant tour guides for the day! Check out Josey's site here at joseyrides.com

The above example shows how the lightbox overlay covers the flash video screen. I had to add a piece of code to the flash video to make it work.

DSC02422.JPGHere's some text that I placed between the closing SPAN tag and the BR - CLEAR FLOATS tag.
This is the next text to appear after the CLEAR FLOAT tag.

Baldface Burton LTR Powder 2008 reservations with Gregg

mike-markowitz-300.jpg
Mike Markowitz, a coach who will probably be there
OK, so here's the deal...

DSC02514.JPGWe went on this trip to test the feasibility of several top instructors bringing clients to Baldface and other resorts for LTR Powder sessions. We know we can deliver the best coaching in the real deal fluffy white powder for several lucky guests at a time.

The whole place to ourselves, we're talking about several snowcats, all containing similar ability levels, reserving the whole establishment for our crew. (36 guests, including coaches and photographers.)

Now, this whole thing is not yet underway, nor has a decision been made whether Burton will market the LTR Powder trip for next season. But, I personally am planning to go, with three to six guests of my own and a professional photographer. That makes eight total. There are six spots available, and I'll update this page as I begin getting confirmations. You'll have to qualify with me in terms of your riding level before you can be confirmed on the trip. You should be riding black diamond runs before the trip, although it's not required that you've ever been in deep powder before.

This is going to be the trip of a lifetime, something to do at least once in your life. The cost could be 3 to 4 thousand dollars per person. But to me, the price didn't matter at all once I was there, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat if invited to be on a snowcat trip again, especially at Baldface.

Well, your invited. Don't miss your chance to go with a professional coach and trainer. Not to mention a super-fun group and an awesome learning environment!

Burton Learn To Ride Powder at Baldface Lodge, BC, Canada

collage04-2.jpg Our trip was unbelievable! As you will see from the photos, it's amazing up in BC. The terrain is excellent, the snowcats travel in any weather, and the beautifully gladed tree skiing keeps the visibility excellent. mike-markowitz.jpgI'm taking the first few clients who want to join me for the Burton Learn to Ride Powder program, at Baldface Lodge next winter. If you want to get in on it next year, you better talk to me soon.
