Summer is finally showing. I traded in the morning and place some good trades yesterday.
I walked about 8 miles in total. The mud season is over, and the Aspen have grown their leaves. It was beautiful. Also, most of the hike followed the river (which was raging).

Breckenridge offers a program which is excellent for the expert skier. The groups are small 4 people or less. The skiing is high end. And we ski from 9-3:30, and lunch is included. It is called the Big Mtn Experience. And SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS opened!

The skiing was incredible today. Lots of snow 1-2 feet. The snow had plenty of body today. It wasn't like yesterdays Colorado Fluff. We hit the North Bowl and a variety of good powder hits in the morning.

February 15 was nice. But with snow falling all night. It is really nice out now.
Thursday's snow was fun and deep in the windows!! Everywhere else the snow was good, although windblown and dense. Avis's Alley was soft, and the rest of the Northbowl was good by tricky.

The temps shot up to the 40's Mon-Tues-Weds. Too warm. The snow has been beaten up. The dense snow we received over the weekend, has melted and firmed up on the south facing slopes. North facing slopes are still very good.

The wind came to Breckenridge on Sunday. Much of the upper mountain was closed. Today, the aftermath. The North Bowl was a moon scape. All the loose snow blew away. Right into the Front Bowl, and it was awesome.

This morning had a few Clouds. 20* as of 8am. This morning has little wind. Wind came up in the afternoon yesterday, and I would expect the same today. Expected high is 33.

Also, look for an article on using Wind Power. As some know, I have been a bit mixed in my backing of Vail Resorts on a few management decisions. However, Vail Resorts made a commitment to using 100% Wind power for its Electricity needs! Way to go Vail Resorts!!

We just came out of a 3 day storm Cycle. It is clearing now. Very cold temperatures today. The temps rose to 10 in the valley, and +2 at the top of Peak 8. Breckenridge continues to underreport.
