7/18 - The summer is so very pleasant!
Breckenridge has been outstanding of late. There are tons of activities in Breckenridge and Summit County. Brilliant sunshine mornings, a little afternoon rain, with temps in the 70's.

7/8/2007- Sunny mornings, wet afternoons
Now were talking. Independence Day parades, golf in the mornings and the evenings, hikes, and a little rain in the mid-afternoon. While Denver was in the 90's, day time temps in Breckenridge ranged from 65-78*. Delightful.

6/15/07 - Great Hike
Summer is finally showing. I traded in the morning and place some good trades yesterday.
I walked about 8 miles in total. The mud season is over, and the Aspen have grown their leaves. It was beautiful. Also, most of the hike followed the river (which was raging).

It has been chilly here lately. 40's-50's, some 60's. Today never really warmed up. However, I finally got out for a brief ride this evening. Ahh, doesn't that feel better?

This week has been a warm one. Very warm in fact. During spring break that is actually pretty nice. The week has brought lots of sun and consistent temps in the 40's and 50's. Firm snow in the morning, with softening snow in the afternoon.

March 3-4, 2007 - Big Mtn Experience
Breckenridge offers a program which is excellent for the expert skier. The groups are small 4 people or less. The skiing is high end. And we ski from 9-3:30, and lunch is included. It is called the Big Mtn Experience. And SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS opened!

The skiing was incredible today. Lots of snow 1-2 feet. The snow had plenty of body today. It wasn't like yesterdays Colorado Fluff. We hit the North Bowl and a variety of good powder hits in the morning.

Feb 15 and 16, 2007 - Snow is Flying in Breckenridge
February 15 was nice. But with snow falling all night. It is really nice out now.
Thursday's snow was fun and deep in the windows!! Everywhere else the snow was good, although windblown and dense. Avis's Alley was soft, and the rest of the Northbowl was good by tricky.

The temps shot up to the 40's Mon-Tues-Weds. Too warm. The snow has been beaten up. The dense snow we received over the weekend, has melted and firmed up on the south facing slopes. North facing slopes are still very good.

Well still no new snow in Breck. The snow is still pretty good. The weather today was beautiful. Not a cloud to be seen, high 30's, low 40's. Not a breath of wind.

I arrived at the locker room with only the knowledge of a few inches of new snow and 13* temps. It was snowing throughout until about 2:30 and then light snow with partial sunshine.

The wind came to Breckenridge on Sunday. Much of the upper mountain was closed. Today, the aftermath. The North Bowl was a moon scape. All the loose snow blew away. Right into the Front Bowl, and it was awesome.

Babes are here! Yippie for snow. We were greeted with what the mountain called 6". That was probably accurate at 5am. But by 9, there was much more. Jenn Loesch and I took a run before lineup and were greeted with billowing powder.

Well, sorry for the delay in writing a snow report. But quite frankly, it has all been the same for the past 5 days. 30's for the high, wind in the afternoon, snow firming up. Well not today! The snow in Breckeridge was varied. All good. But very different around the mountain. The temps started off cold. 3* @ 7:30. High teens by 10, and mid 20's after lunch. Colder the better, because our skiing today was Hot.

This morning had a few Clouds. 20* as of 8am. This morning has little wind. Wind came up in the afternoon yesterday, and I would expect the same today. Expected high is 33.
Also, look for an article on using Wind Power. As some know, I have been a bit mixed in my backing of Vail Resorts on a few management decisions. However, Vail Resorts made a commitment to using 100% Wind power for its Electricity needs! Way to go Vail Resorts!!

Post 1 - A bluebird morning @ 8am. Temps 15. There was some snow on Saturday, but it has been sunny ever since. 25* yesterday, 39* expected today. Very little wind in the morning.

It warmed up today! 17* at 7am, midday temps @ 21. It has been snowing steadily all day. About 4" accumulated at my home. More up on the mountain.
Stock market is down right now, I am negative delta in my portfolio, and positive theta. So, I like it.

Today should be Thanksgiving. I am thankful I am able to watch the sunrise across the Ten Mile Range. I'm thankful for the new snow.I am thankful that I have a nice warm home, because my outside temp reads, "-12F" @ 7am! Zoinks!

We just came out of a 3 day storm Cycle. It is clearing now. Very cold temperatures today. The temps rose to 10 in the valley, and +2 at the top of Peak 8. Breckenridge continues to underreport.
