We need a week of snow to really prep the mountain for our typically snowfall heavy Feb and March times. At 8am the temps are 15*. With a few inches on the hill. Here at the house there is about 2'.

January 26-28, 2007 - Level 9 Skiing in Breckenridge
The past few days have been great. 30's and sunny. However, Sunday morning was cold. 0 at my house. -6 on the mountain. After my 8:30 morning run it was time to go for a breakfast burrito.

January 25, 2007 - January
Well still no new snow in Breck. The snow is still pretty good. The weather today was beautiful. Not a cloud to be seen, high 30's, low 40's. Not a breath of wind.
January 24th, 2007 a day to catch up
I'm off the hill today. The days have been nice up here. No new snow. As of 8:30am it is a chilly 9*. I am getting caught up on lots of things today.

January 21, 2007 - Level 9 day
I arrived at the locker room with only the knowledge of a few inches of new snow and 13* temps. It was snowing throughout until about 2:30 and then light snow with partial sunshine.

Babes on Bumps - Day 2, Jan 19, 2007
Wow. After the deep freeze we were in for the prior 3 days, it sure was nice to have a day like this one. The temperatures were in the high 20's with hardly a breath of wind.

The weather has been very pleasant for the past few days. Unfortunately, too pleasant. We could really use some new snow around the majority of the mountain.

We are starting of "warmer" this morning. 7* at 7:15. No new snow over night, but the wind velvet should still be great on the upper mountain. Very fun group today!

The Big Toe and Dorsiflexion

January 8, 2007 - day after the wind
The wind came to Breckenridge on Sunday. Much of the upper mountain was closed. Today, the aftermath. The North Bowl was a moon scape. All the loose snow blew away. Right into the Front Bowl, and it was awesome.

Jan 5, 2007 - Babes on Bumps - Day 1
Babes are here! Yippie for snow. We were greeted with what the mountain called 6". That was probably accurate at 5am. But by 9, there was much more. Jenn Loesch and I took a run before lineup and were greeted with billowing powder.

Skiing Breckenridge - Jan 4, 2007
Well, sorry for the delay in writing a snow report. But quite frankly, it has all been the same for the past 5 days. 30's for the high, wind in the afternoon, snow firming up. Well not today! For as long as I remember, we have had a big storm after the New Year's holiday. This year seems to be no different! Check this out:

Highest Torch Light Parade
12,840' starting elevation. 2 hrs after dark. 50 skiers and riders. Level 3 teaching certification or patrol certifications required. What an awesome experience. Thanks SS Director John Buhler for putting it together.

We could use another snowfall. That said, I will take these 4 beautiful days up here. Mid day temps have been in the 30's. I think our guests who are skiing this week are having a good time.
