The wind came to Breckenridge on Sunday. Much of the upper mountain was closed. Today, the aftermath. The North Bowl was a moon scape. All the loose snow blew away. Right into the Front Bowl, and it was awesome.

Look these turns by Thomas. Very cool.

I was skiing with the Level 7 group. It was fun to do so. Steve, Thomas, Elizabeth, Geno, Matt, and Amy. I wasn't sure how the snow up high would be. But where we skied it was very good. Mayday, Duke's Gully, Frosty's Freeway, and Rounders. In the afternoon we worked on our bumps. Peerless was very good. The wind had rounded all the bumps on the mountain. Wind buff everywhere.

The snow was springy and simply perfect. Breck gets the wind, but the mountain takes it well. It is absolutely skiing great.

The crowds are gone. No lines, open runs. It was very good to see. Because as my previous posts said, 20,000+ people on the hill is insane.

We worked on turning the legs, pedal motion when arcing. A more uniform, two-footed turn in the tricky snow.

Tactically, we played with bridges and ridges in the bumps. Although, the snow was so good it was easy to take a more direct rut line approach.

Fun was the play of the day. I look forward to having locals Steve and Elizabeth back in my group often.
