We had two day in a row of sunshine. The wind was definitely up, which made the front bowl awesome. The snow was buttery smooth.
Level 9 is where we started. Quickly our group wanted to head up the Imperial Chair. Prior to that I decided it be prudent to ski the Boundary Chutes for a warm up. We all decided that the snow was excellent. We headed up Imperial and out to Peak 7. The wind was whipping all day, but it made for outstanding snow from the Summit of 7, down Magic Carpet, and out to Art’s Bowl. We did that lap 3 times. It was just too good. 8 to 12″ of wind fresh powder in pockets the whole way down.
We just worked on a few modifications to our technique and tactics. In the afternoon, we spent the entire time in different lines on the Horseshoe Bowl. Outlaw, Eagles Nest, Humbug, and of course Lulu and Lulu rock.
Jumping cues:
Look through the takeoff and toward the landing.
4pts of contact on the takeoff and on the landing.
Landing on the new turning edges, rather than the previous downhill edges.
