It was a busy day on the hill. However, not as busy as previous years. I would consider buying some puts or a put spread on MTN. And we are supposed to receive another upslope storm at the end of this week. It is supposed to be smaller, but very much like last week’s storm. It really put a crunch on DIA.
Anyway, back to the ski day.
At 9:45 I went up to the front bowl to sample some of the wind buffed snow. It was very good. Although not yet perfect velvet. There was a substantial about of packed snow, and then pockets of wind buff. It was very good. Just, not as good as it gets up there. LuLu rock are exposed, and very fun to ski between. Some of the pictures I took today are view from above.
At 10:45 I started skiing with some very fun and enthusiastic first time skiers. Although, I think Tracy had some experience. She and her husband Greg were a fun to teach. John, with a few quick tips was off and running. As was Clint. Just wind him up and let him go. AnnaMarie was great. Tip the toes and go, and off she went. Joey worked his tail off, and skied the poma on Trygve’s great. However, the legs got tired on the last run.
Until tomorrow,
Jon
