Amazing days. It was the busiest days of the year. But still not too busy. I want to short Vail stock MTN. It just doesn’t seem as busy as years past. Although, the T-Bar was as busy as I have ever seen it. The Front Range received lots of snow, yet the past two days no snow in Breck. That was ok though. The snow was excellent on P8/9 anyhow. Peak 10 was firm but fun.
Friday, I had the pleasure to ski with Kim and Becca. Kim was improving to keep up with her kids, and Becca was become the person the rest of her family was trying to catch.
Today we had another great day. Becca, Leah (sis), Laura (Mexico), Kathrine (TN), and Maggie (Chicago).
Becca is a Junior Olympic water polo goalie. She is an excellent athlete with talent to spare. She was good fun to ski with. Tip, Flex, Turn was the credo of the afternoon. Ski bumps, carve turns, have fun.
Laura was skiing with smoothness and great turn shape
Maggie moved from an up and down style, to a long leg, short leg style. I think she liked P10.
And Kathrine started carving. We will get those arms under control.
1 day until my birthday! We will be night skiing from the top of Peak 8 (Imperial Bowl) for the first time ever. We will have torches in hand. 1800 vertical feet of double black runs in the dark carrying flaming torches on my birthday 12/31. This is going to rock.
to your sliding success,

Leah,
sorry for the delay in getting your story told. And yes, you have “Mad Skills”, some of them even include tipping, flexing/extending, and turning.
I have just been a little busy during the New Year’s time.
I always look forward to skiing with you.
