One can spend their money in lots of places. My intention in this section is to offer you the highest quality and best value you for your dollar. This is who I recommend you see while you are here in Summit County and Breckenridge.
I will not only be telling you of my favorite spots, I will also be securing the best rates for my vacationing students and friends. I will be creating a card that you can show to merchants to give you a variety of locals only pricing.
#1 – www.renewablechoice.com . Wind power electricity nationwide. Although this is not a “local” business, this is a great way to do your part to benefit our environment. Vail Resort just went to 100% wind power for their electricity needs. Very Cool. Check out their site and see if it is the right choice for you. Doesn’t it just make sense? It is easy, and benefits everyone.
#2 – If you like Burgers, Empire Burger just opened in the La Cima Mall. Lots of seating, fun atmosphere, a few big screen TVs, and the freshest burgers this side of the Starr Ranch outside of Waco, TX. Beef is ground daily. Fries, Onion Rings, and sauces made daily. Priced right. No other place in Breckenridge comes close.
#3 – Ski Rentals and tunes – Lone Star Sports – not only are the people nice in there. The do terrific tunes. It is the only place I have taken my skis in 13 years that I have had a perfect tune EVERYTIME. The rental equipment is very well maintained. Tuned and waxed after every tour of duty. They also have a nice selection of clothing and accessories. Locally owned. The Abernathy’s are in there almost everyday to help their staff. Even on Christmas day.
#4 High End clothing – PRIMO – The have a great assortment of the latest high tech, high touch, highly functional clothing. Great stuff. Have you ever wanted a Bluetooth equipped jacket? You can find it here. Adam and Sans can get you hooked up here.
#5 Goggles and Glasses – Sun Logic on Main Street. They have an amazing selection of goggles and glasses. The best in Breckenridge, without a doubt. Hip clothing too.
#6 Real Estate Agent – There are certainly many choices in Summit County. My realtor is Doug Polanski 970.453.2121. I have used several brokers and agent while living in Blue River and Breckenridge. I now use Doug exclusively. He is not only is he a great person, but he also has a tremendous feel for the market.
